In the December issue of Passage Maker “Winds of Change ” the Schucker Motorsailor is described as having a “cult like following”.She’s described as having a speed of 7.8 knots under power and a 6 knot speed under sail alone. “Clearly”, says the author , “under motor/sailing conditions , the Schucker 440 is a very economical boat to operate.”What the author doesn’t tell you is that the Schucker 430s, 436s and 437s have identical hulls as the 440s and should perform equally well.  11/08
